Invitation to POWER4BIO cross-visit to Lviv
May 19 and 20, 2020
The next POWER4BIO cross-visit will take place in the Lviv region in the Ukraine, on May 19 and 20, where key actors from the Lviv region, like business companies, associations, research institutes, policy makers and representatives of the POWER4BIO consortium will participate. It is organised parallel to the 23rd Woodprocessing International Exhibition, a specialised exhibition of equipment and tools for forestry, wood and furniture industry. The exhibition is open for visitors from May 19-22.
In the morning of the first day of the cross-visit, the participants will be introduced to the POWER4BIO project, the Lviv region and policy makers and business companies from the region. A focus will be the perspectives of the bioeconomy cluster creation and the importance of the green economy development in the Lviv region. Also, main methodological ideas regarding the elaboration of the bioeconomy strategy for the Lviv region will be discussed with the auditorium.
In the afternoon, a Symposium-Forest Sector Council meeting will be organised within the framework of the International Exhibition “Woodworking 2020”, afterwards, the participants will be able to visit the Exhibition.
The second day of the cross-visit starts with a field visit to the woodworking enterprise Lviv-PAC. The owner of the enterprise will introduce the technologies, activities and networks of Lviv-PAC and will show the premises to the visitors.
In the afternoon, a workshop regarding the development of a regional bioeconomy strategy for the Lviv region will be held at UNFU, Ukrainian National Forestry University.
